It’s been an eventful couple of months at the centre! We’ve had lots of fun activities (including our very first Soberfest!) and we’ve finally started to see some lovely weather in Seaham ☀️
Soberfest 25
On the 7th June, we hosted our very first Soberfest at the ANE HQ. The energy was incredible and there was something for everyone:
Live bands bringing the beats
Meditation sessions for peace and clarity
Family support room – a safe space for connection
Face painting fun for all ages
Delicious food and drinks
Support, community, and a whole lot of heart
Thanks to everyone who popped in! We had a wonderful turn out and a memorable day.
Thursday night sober socials
We’ve recently started up with our Thursday night sober social gatherings. We meet every Thursday at 5pm at the ANE HQ for a fun and relaxing evening of activities like kareoke, family support and meditation. There’s free food, and everyone is welcome!
Community
Over the past few weeks we’ve carried on with our work in giving back to the community of Seaham. Our fantastic service users did some litter picking in Seaham on Wednesday 11th June. It’s always nice to give back to the local community!
We also had a wonderful day out with the men’s and women’s groups on Friday 20th June at the beach. The weather was amazing, and it was a fun day out for all!
