Addictions North East Training Courses in Country Durham

Addictions North East will be launching a series of training courses funded through County Durham Community Foundation , the Skills Funding Agency and the European Social Fund within County Durham.  This project – known as the “Escape Club” will be commencing in May 2012.
The courses, spread over 6 x 4 hour sessions run for six weeks and will be dealing with the following areas – and more:

  • Facing Fear and Coping Mechanisms
  • Dealing with Anger Management Issues
  • Resentments and Relationships
  • Self Esteem and Dealing with Un-Manageability
  • Make your Choices – Sobriety and Abstinence?
  • Dealing with Stress and Anxiety
  • Managing Your Feelings
  • Counselling Support Services
  • Signposting for more help and advice

Training will be aimed at people who are on state benefits and working less than eight hours a week.  The courses will be held in different venues throughout County Durham and people who are interested can gain further details from Simon at Addictions North East, who can be contacted by telephone on 0800 140 4044, or by e-mail info@addictionsnortheast.com or by using the on-line contact form. Those interested can also gain further information through the local Job Centre.
There is only a limited number of places available. The courses are free of charge. Applicants must be over 18. Lone Parents, Over 50s and people with health problems and disabilities are welcome to apply.
